WEN Hair Care System Review
The Wen hair care system is formulated to cleanse and condition your hair in one easy step. It is a cleanser and not a shampoo. The difference being that it does not lather and does not contain the harsh detergents found in shampoos.
There have been mixed reviews for the Wen hair care system. Many people either love it or hate it. I do like the cleansing conditioner and what it does for my hair, but I cannot afford the price to use it regularly. A regular 12 ounce bottle of the cleansing conditioner sells for close to .
I was lucky enough to receive the Wen cleansing conditioner travel set last year for my birthday. The set came with four of the five cleansing conditioners that are in the Wen line. I was not upset that it did not contain the Lavender cleansing conditioner since I am not fond of lavender.
I was surprised at how much of the cleansing conditioner is recommended to be used in a single wash. I have fairly long hair so I was supposed to use 32 to 40 pumps worth on my hair. Luckily, the pump does not disburse a large amount per pump so it didn’t use as much as I thought per washing. I have to admit that I did try to use less than recommended and I found that anything less than 30 pumps did not clean my hair well.
The travel kit included the cleansing conditioner in Tea Tree, Sweet Almond Mint, Fig, and Cucumber Aloe. My favorite was the Sweet Almond Mint. This variety is very cool and tingly on your scalp. I have a very easy time combing my hair out after using Wen products. Once my hair dries it feels very soft and looks quite shiny.
If you have the money to spend on hair care I do recommend buying the travel kit to see if you like the product and to see which formula works best for you. After determining which you like best you can branch out to include the other products in the Wen line if they fit your lifestyle. The other products include styling creme, hair repair mask, texture balm, and an oil for bath, body, and hair.
I am a wash and go kind of girl so the only Wen product I need is the cleansing conditioner. I can only hope that I am lucky enough to receive more of it for my birthday this year.

Our natural hair care remedy for dry hair is our luscious Dry Hair Balm made with Shea butter, Sandalwood and Coconut to nourish and repair dry and damaged parts of the hair.
For greasy hair we have the Balancing Herbal Powder with Lemon, Lime and Cedarwood, while our natural hair care remedy for inflamed and irritated scalps is the Scalp Soother oil with Jojoba oil, Bergamot, Wild Carrot and Chamomile.
